Ashtanga was developed by K. Pattabhi Jois and is a Vinyasa-based style where movement and breath are deeply connected. Students progress through a series of poses, the sequence of which always remains the same. The class may be guided such that all students move together through each pose or it may be a Mysore-style class, meaning that each student moves at his or her own pace.
